Overview of the lawyers

The following lawyers work at Alcmaria Advocaten:

Jaap Burgers

Mr. Jaap Burgers finished his law study (private law and civil law) in 1983 at Utrecht University. After his graduation he worked at the GAK and later during five years at Alkmaar mutual legal assistance. In 1990 he became a lawyer in Alkmaar and in 1996 also in Amsterdam. After almost ten years he returned to Alkmaar. From the 1st of April 2008 onwards he works as a lawyer at Alcmaria Advocaten.

He is engaged in labor law, civil law, social security law, administrative law, family law and criminal law.

Next to his work he is a dedicated runner who participates in marathons all over the world. He also enjoys singing in a vocal group.

Geert Frank de Graaf

Mr. Geert Frank de Graaf first took his Bachelor at the Higher Economic School in Leeuwarden. Then he studied Dutch law at the Free University in Amsterdam. He graduated in 1994 and worked at various companies. He became a lawyer in 2000 and since 1st of April 2008 he works as a lawyer at Alcmaria Advocaten.

He specializes in labor law, social security law, (among which cases regarding social security welfare payment), family law, consumer’s law and contract law.

Next to his work Geert Frank participates in the Board of the theater company group Warber. He enjoys playing racket ball and works out during the week. He also likes cooking.
